The initial application has been drafted and is self explanatory. Applications are online and will be available at the Thrift Store, and by request can also be mailed. All foster "parent" applications will be processed and all references checked. A home visit will be conducted prior to becoming a foster and subsequent visits while pets are in foster care. All fosters report to the Foster Committee and each will have a contact person on said committee. Foster's must be available for training, understand particulars such as but not limited to where the animal will be kept, confined, mixing with others animals and also what to do in the event of an emergency. PAWS will provide veterinary care, food, supplies, and equipment for the foster pet. This is a very rewarding and important part of what PAWS is all about. If you want to become a foster please be prepared to commit one to three months and in some cases longer towards the rehabilitation and adoption of your foster pet. Contact Donna |
