The PAWS Thrift Store is our main source of revenue and a very important business for us. Located at 1211 Bridges Street in Morehead City, NC we're open Monday through Saturday 10 am to 4 pm. The store is a very busy retail business and volunteering here is like working at a department store. There is always something to do during your shift and we really need your help to continue with our success.
Criteria:
- Volunteer must be a PAWS member and be aware of our goals in order to answer questions from our customers
- Must be comfortable with animals as the store is "pet friendly" and has two resident felines. Customers bring in their pets, and volunteers are encouraged to bring their pets in if they get along with the others
- Must be willing to do various chores such as:
- Operate cash register (be able to make correct change!)
- Sort donations
- Box & store donations
- Keep merchandise neat & orderly
- Keep windows interesting
- Clean
- Volunteers are encouraged but not required to work one three (3) hour shift per week and must be scheduled at least one (1) week in advance in order to cover all shifts. Manager must be notified of any schedule changes so replacement can be arranged in advance.
- Available shifts are: 10am - 1pm & 1 pm - 4 pm Mon-Sat
- Volunteers are dependable men and women
Finally, we have a lot of fun at the Thrift Store. Our customer's come from all over and every walk of life. If you are a people & pet person your shift will be over before you even realize it! |
